Queen is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous markings and distinct red and blue ticking. She is also quite scared. We don't know what her past held, but loud noises and/or sudden movement can send her belly to the ground. That being said, she will tentatively allow a bit of petting, and in the quiet comfort of a home, we expect that she will slowly blossom. She had a bit of an extended stay at the vet as we searched for a foster for her. So great was her fear, she needed to be carried outside to do her business. When her foster came to get her, true to their story, the vet tech came out carrying Queen. As her foster mom slipped the harness on (with the vet tech lifting her belly off the floor), Queen seemed to sense all would be well and she tentatively walked out the door on her own four feet. As with all shy (i.e. scared) dogs, Queen will be a flight risk and therefore must be leashed at all times outside - or have a securely fenced yard. She would likely draw comfort and confidence with another friendly dog in the home. We suspect that small lively children would hinder her emotional recovery.
